Belgium triumphs in the first GBMFU Tri Nations!

Belgium's minifootball team came out on top at the inaugural GBMFU Tri Nations tournament, successfully taking on neighbours France and hosts England.

In their first match against France, the Red Devils got off to an excellent start with an early 2-0 lead. However, Les Bleus managed to pull level (2-2), before Belgium regained the lead moments later and eventually won 3-2.

In their second match, against England playing at home for the first time, the Belgians took advantage of their opponents' mistakes to take a 2-0 lead. The English responded but found themselves 3-0 down before scoring two quick goals to pull level at 3-2. However, as England pushed for an equaliser, Belgium scored two more late goals to secure a clear victory.

With this success, Belgium won the tournament even before the final match was played. The final match of the evening did have its share of thrills, however: England led 1-0 and then 2-1 before France turned the tables to take a 4-2 lead. Buoyed by their fans, the English team came back to level the score (4-4) and finally won on penalties (2-1).

Belgium was crowned champion, followed by England in second place and France in third. The tournament was a resounding success, played out in front of a packed house at London's spectacular Ballerz Dome.
